B.O.M.B. Makeup Challenge

Black Lives Matter. I’ve said it once. I’ll say it again. I’ll say it a thousand times over. Black. Lives. Matter.
Because of all that’s happening in the world, Alissa Ashley and Alyssa Forever, two amazing beauty YouTubers, created the B.O.M.B. (Black Owned Makeup Brands) Challenge. The challenge celebrates different Black owned brands that consistently support our community and I love it! The challenge is to create an entire #BOMB face with only products that are Black owned. And chile, it was a challenge.
The first brands that came to my mind were Black Opal and Black Radiance. After some research, I found that while they are phenomenal brands, they aren’t Black owned. I dug a little deeper and found some beautiful brands with quality products. With the help of my good friend Google, I’ve fallen in love with new brands who have helped slay my face.
Here are the details to the look:
 Facetune
Face:
Foundation: IMAN Cosmetics Stick Foundation- Earth 3
I loved this foundation! Recently, I’ve been all about a matte look lately and this foundation is extremely matte. It made it a little hard to blend out but with determination and a prayer, I made it happen.
Concealer: SheaMoisture Crème Concealer- Almond
This shade was way too light for me. I toned it down a bit by mixing it with the foundation and then it was a my perfect highlight shade.
Powder: SheaMoisture Mineral Powder Foundation- Mocha
I set my entire face with this. It wasn’t too heavy so it kept everything in place nicely.
Contour and Highlight- IMAN Cosmetics Luxury Contour Trio
I underestimated how deep the contour shade was at first. #fail But the golden highlight shade gave me life!

Eyes:
Eyeshadow: Juvia’s Place- The Masquerade Palette
This palette is absolutely beautiful! I normally only use neutral tones and it’s been really great with helping me get out of my makeup comfort zone.
Lashes: Lena Lashes- Monroe
I also never really got into lashes. I think they’re beautiful, but I don’t think that I’m doing it right. (If you have any lash tips, let me know in the comments below!)
Mascara: IMAN Cosmetics- Volumize Mascara
I like them more for the bottom lashes than for my top lashes. But they got the job done.
Lips:
Exfoliation: Honey and sugar homemade exfoliation.
A few weeks ago I got caught slippin and wore a extremely drying and matteifying lipstick that left my lips cracked. After everything was finished I got stuck with scars on my lip. So from now I on I always exfoliate before I wear a liquid lip. I had to learn my lesson the hard way. ):
Lip Moisturizer: Base Butter
I usually use my Base Butter as my on the go shea butter since I can’t really carry around my big jar when I’m living life. But, I used it after exfoliating and my lips felt so smooth.
Lip Liner: SheaMoisture Prime & Define Long Wear Lip Pencil: Dark
I’m not sure how I felt about this. The color was beautiful, but the formula was extremely silky and I wanted something that would stay in place a little more.
Lipstick- Lena Lashes: Brad
This lipstick doesn’t go anywhere. When I tried to take it off I had to use some coconut oil in addition to my makeup wipe. It’s extremely kiss proof!
